Overview

The Benefits Coordinator provides internal and external support for YMCA Employee Benefits, including training local YMCA administrators on how to use the Benefitsolver enrollment system, helping with corrections to enrollment records, updating access for administrators, and assisting the team with other system-related tasks in Benefitsolver. This individual will also help prepare sales presentations and format benefits documents as well as perform other general administrative duties to support the operations of the department. A critical aspect of this role is to help YMCA Employee Benefits maintain compliance with eligibility and enrollment policies by conducting recurring data audits, monitoring carrier files/error logs, and assisting with other data quality projects as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with YMCA administrators to manage access, troubleshoot issues, and correct enrollment records in the Benefitsolver enrollment system.
  • Conducts monthly recurring eligibility audits to ensure compliance with eligibility rules, making necessary corrections, and notifying the YMCA administrators in accordance with policy.
  • Assists with additional compliance and data quality audits as assigned.
  • Assists the team with processing YMCA plan changes and onboarding new customers by updating Salesforce and Benefitsolver in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Monitors recurring carrier error logs, making corrections and following up with the team or YMCAs as necessary, and helping to identify error trends for future training opportunities.
  • Trains YMCA administrators on basic functions in the Benefitsolver system, including logging in/navigating the site, updating employee records, invoice retrieval, and running reports.
  • Assists team with updates to Benefitsolver training materials as needed.
  • Assists Senior Benefits Systems Administrator with building and maintaining YMCA self-service sites, importing salary changes, and monitoring file integrations in Benefitsolver.
  • Performs other operational tasks to support the team, including but not limited to: preparing sales presentations, document formatting, data entry, and running various system reports upon request.
  • Tracks responses to annual customer survey and reaches out to YMCA contacts to meet required participation targets.
  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.

This individual provides internal and external support for YMCA Employee Benefits’ objectives of continued growth and satisfaction, by working directly with customer YMCA administrators and maintaining accurate member enrollment data in the Plan’s eligibility system.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years customer/client support experience where attention to detail, compliance, and regulations were essential.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in benefits industry or Human Resources role strongly preferred
  • Must possess advanced computer skills including MS Office products, especially MS Excel and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • 2+ years of experience working in Benefitsolver or a similar HRIS system is strongly preferred
  • Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, and within a team
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds

Posted Salary Range

USD $61,500.00 - USD $82,000.00 /Yr.
